Pacific East CC supports Hawaiʻi’s Public Charter School Commission and state partners in aligning its assessment system with mission-driven school practices.
The state currently lacks a coherent, evidence-informed, and policy-enabled framework to recognize, support, and scale high-quality assessment models. Schools drive academic success through innovative practices, but the statewide system measures only traditional standardized test results.
Through landscape scanning, evidence synthesis, and cohort development, the project will build the policy framework and capacity needed to recognize and scale high-quality assessment models that better capture student learning and career readiness.
